Maintenance & Warranties

Sanford offers a five year parts and labor warranty on all systems we install. Proper and routine annual maintenance by Sanford Temperature Control is required to honor the warranty.

Proper maintenance keeps your system running at peak efficiency, and helps save energy and money. You should also note that properly maintained systems have a much lower failure rate and most manufacturers warranties could be jeopardized if proper maintenance has not been followed through.

The easiest and most convenient way to ensure that you're protected from the expense
and inconvenience of unexpected repairs is to enroll in Sanford's Service Partner Plan. Click here for details.

 Heating System Inspection

Cooling System Inspection

  • We will inspect the gas piping and leak check from the furnace shut off valve. Undetected gas leaks are dangerous and expensive.
  • We will inspect the blower area. A dirty blower wheel moves less air than required and costs more to operate. It can also make your home less comfortable.
  • We will inspect the burners and heat exchanger to see that they are clean, burning properly and have no dangerous cracks. You could be wasting fuel, and endangering your family with carbon monoxide poisoning.
  • We will inspect the vent pipe for corrosion, proper pitch and water leaks.
  • We will inspect the wire connections for tightness and insulation.
  • We will inspect and change the air filters for maximum air flow.
  • We will inspect the condensate drains for leaks or clogs, to avoid possible costly water damage.
  • We will inspect the refrigerant level and confirmit is within the manufacturer’s specifications. An undercharge of 10% can increase operating costs up to 30%, with no loss of comfort.
  • We will inspect the refrigerant piping for any possible leaks at joints or service valves.
  • We will inspect the condensate drain and pan to avoid possible costly water damage.
  • We will inspect the air flow to confirm it is correct for peak performance.
  • We will inspect the thermostat to confirm it is calibrated correctly.
  • We will inspect the wire connections and determine that the insulation is ok.
  • We will inspect and change the air filters for maximum air flow.
  • We will inspect the electrical components to confirm they are operating correctly and safely.
  • We will inspect the condenser coil to confirm it is clean and moving enough air.
